The key to productivity... is downtime?

Happy Saturday! :) Today is World Productivity Day, and strangely enough... one of the keys to true productivity is downtime. A good read on that topic:

"Interesting Fact: When you're "bored" your brain will start processing stored information, instead of dealing with the stimulus at hand.

It will process thoughts, data, ideas and other things that have been pus
hed back to deal with what's in front of you at any given time.

This is the reason you get those great ideas in the shower, on long road trips, or when you're otherwise not actively engaged in a brain-stimulating (or distracting) activity or environment."

I schedule in intentional downtime. I take naps most days, enjoy long unplugged days on the lake soaking up the sunshine, love to go for walks with Slim (my great dane), etc.

What about you?

Do you make downtime a task on your to-do list?

If not, you should! :) *cheers*
