Breakdown of a Product Review (Live Example) + Creative Ideas

There are 4 easy ways to monetize product reviews & product discussions. I recommend you mention relevant products to your audience at least once a week, and consistently. It gets your readers used to hearing your opinion (good or bad, candid is ideal!) and it gets them used to "product discussions" from you.

People LOVE to discuss products!

Here's just one live example on my Facebook Page to inspire you.

4 Ways To Monetize Product Reviews:

- Use an affiliate link
- Sponsored (you get paid to write the review)
- Contextual Advertising (like Google Adsense)
- As a lead in to one of YOUR products, or a related affiliate product

There's no reason you can't use all 4, or any combination. :) Let's say for example that I write a low-cost report on how to prevent hair loss on a ketogenic diet, and that report is a lead-in product for my higher end guide.

I could then write a review for the Nature's Bounty product (this one), I would use my affiliate link in the review of course, and I would lead into a relevant call-to-action to order/download my product. Simple!

I often host "product discussions" via social media, even when they are not monetized in any way. This gets the attention of merchants & brands, and lands me some nice paid opportunities. ;-)

I just did a review for a fitness product on my low carb blog yesterday:

I received this product free in exchange for my review. It's a cheap product, so that alone wasn't "worth it" to go ALL OUT with my review (which I did). However, it was a product on Amazon so I was able to use the opp to 1) create an evergreen monetized review, and 2) establish myself as a Top Influencer with a great review example on a new brand network I'm working with. :)

Here's a breakdown of "review features" to model:

- I start the post with a reason to read to the end.
- My disclosure is "conversational" (not dry and boring!)
- The Post Title piques curiosity - DO I faceplant?? (lol)
- Plenty of pictures & video: proof that I have it & tried it
- Conversational, with my usual personality (not stuffy)
- I addressed both positive AND negative points

I hope this gives you some ideas & inspiration to use this week!

Another great resource, a must-have in my opinion if you want to work with BIG brands and merchants in your niche, is Shannon Acheson's guide & templates. I shared my thoughts on it here:

(look how chubby I was in the picture there!! WOW, lol...)

I love that my work and my niche has helped me get so lean and fit. There are so many perks to a successful online business! lol :) Speaking of, I better get back to it. I'm working on some fun niche stuff today...

p.s. Weekends are my "creative project" time, when life is quiet and I can dig in and get in the zone. I love that! I'm working on lots of cool things right now, including a new challenge in my low carb niche, and mapping out an entire profit funnel for that challenge.

My niche challenges are HOPPING by the way. I shared some ideas with you recently about hosting your own challenge, and what a great list-builder that is. If you're thinking of hosting a challenge, a SMART move would be to include a Facebook Group with it.

Everyone is on Facebook (like it or not, lol) and it's the fastest easiest way to build an engaged, responsive niche audience.

Note: You can still get my Facebook Group Profits report here. The special is WAY over, but the link still works. :-)
