Inspiration for you and YOUR niche…

Want proof? I've been publishing niche success stories on my blog lately, and you can find them all here:

As you've probably heard, I recently started a new niche blog myself - outside of the IM space. And there's no way I would do that if it weren't possible to be successful. If you'd like to check it out, it's http://www.travelinglowcarb.com and you can read the details of how I set it up super quick at:

Given the topic of my new site, I've been following a popular market leader in the niche: Hungry-Girl.com
It was founded in 2004 by Lisa Lillien. She was a media exec and is married to a tv producer, so no doubt she has connections (that many of us don't have). She also invested $10k of her savings to launch her Hungry Girl brand online.
Those facts do not deter me in the least.
She serves over a million subscribers with her free daily email, and has a huge social media following. She has also landed book deals, and a television show - which recently got picked up by Food Network (previously on The Cooking Channel).
7 years later, she's still going strong. I've been studying her model closely and taking notes (always a good idea!). Instead of looking at the market leaders in your niche as competitors, it's good to learn from their models, and look for ways you can "leverage their success". ;-)
Can you actively maintain a brand or business for 7 straight years? The obvious answer is "yes!" but for many motivation is a real issue. This is *my* 15th year in business, so I know all about the highs and lows of sticking it out.
That prompted my Facebook Question for the week:
"What Motivates You?"
