Google+ News, Tumblr, 2 Podcasts & 3 Ways to Get Paid Blogging

Published: Sat, 07/23/11

I hope this note finds you having a great weekend! There is SO much going on around the web right now, and several things that have made a significant impact on my own strategies this week. I'm even going to share some of my own (live) niche examples with you in this note, which I *rarely* do...

I'll keep this short here and share more detail on my blog soon, but this is action-taking stuff I figured you'd want early. ;-)

First, there are two must-read articles on Google+. And while I've been hesitant to join in, these were the turning point for me personally:

(I'm taking immediate action on this, and figured you would want to as well)

Also here is a Complete Guide to Google+ from Mashable

There were 2 Podcasts published this week. If you haven't had a chance to listen in to those yet, you can grab them here:

Interview with Lynn Terry (me!) on "The Trouble With Freedom" Podcast

Internet Marketing This Week #52

On that IMTW episode we discussed the best way to monetize a blog, among other things. Also, Michelle MacPhearson mentioned using Tumblr to get traffic. I took immediate action on that recommendation and set up a Tumblr page for my new niche blog:

I'm just getting started with it as you can see, but I am finding it to be a *very* active community. Definitely listen in to IMTW and hear Michelle's thoughts & personal experience with it...

Here are the 3 blogging networks I've signed up to or revisited this week (and already earned with!):

- SocialSpark
- Sponsored Reviews
- Escalate Media

(If you like these resources, keep an eye on http://www.ClickNewz.com for more like it in an upcoming post!)

Escalate Media is a great network, with personal account managers and a clean interface that make it super easy to use. I used two of their offers on my new niche blog this week, both of which converted *very* well. You can see them live in this post for a hands-on example:

I'm also doing some direct work in order to connect with other brands on that blog (and others I own) that I expect to pan out very well. These are things I learned at last week's Savvy Blogging event in Colorado Springs.

The event was SO good that I have already booked my ticket to go back in October 2012! I also downloaded ALL of the 2010 event including audio recordings, presentations & worksheets.

The Media Kit resources & sheet were worth the price of it all, but there was tons more content besides. I downloaded all of that for only $48.50 (half price) - and you can do that too, if you grab it before the end of today:

The half price offer ends today, Saturday July 23rd.
The discount code to use is "TheSprings"

Here's a screenshot of my download page

These are all things I am working on this week (& weekend) myself. I hope they prove helpful to you & your business as well. :)

Best,

p.s. I highly recommend the Savvy Blogging Summit 10 content. It's a steal if you get it before the sale ends today. Remember to use the discount code "TheSprings".

You can also order individual sessions/topics with that code too. Enjoy!
