Weekend Tip: Easily Create Your Info Product!

Published: Fri, 08/26/11

This morning I shared a tip on Facebook, and I wanted to share it with you as well:

"When creating a product, focus on CREATING YOUR PRODUCT. Everything else can be outsourced or dealt with when the product is *done*. Otherwise you'll get overwhelmed & distracted..."

I am actually working on creating some products this week myself. As usual the tips, ideas & resources I share come from my personal experience - whatever I'm working on behind the scenes.

I have several EASY info products I am working on. One is a free report I am creating as an opt-in incentive on one of my niche affiliate sites. And while that's easy enough, somehow I always end up getting overwhelmed.

When I do, I go back to what I learned from Jonathan Leger. It's SO simple, yet it works SO well. I use it when I am creating blog posts, short reports, podcasts, even presentations for events!

It's funny that his little guide only cost me $7, but above all of the other (more expensive!) things I've studied over the years, this is the one thing I keep coming back to:

It simplifies the process dramatically. Jonathan also shows you how to research topics & product ideas. It was this one $7 guide that got me over the hump and creating profitable info products. Both products I sell, and free products I use to build niche lists.

Earlier today I sat down to work on my product ideas, and it wasn't long before I felt completely overwhelmed. I'm sure you can relate. It's what stops most of us from EVER bringing a great product to market.

That's when I stopped, referred back to the simple format I learned from Jonathan, and got back on track.

If you haven't read this yet, I highly recommend it for weekend reading:

Like I said, it's the ONE thing that got me over the hump when I first read it - and I've been creating info products easily ever since. ;-)

I can't even begin to tell you how profitable info products are. EVEN free or low cost products! I am *still* making money on reports I wrote years ago...

By the way, I often use OpenOffice.org to create reports. It's free to download, and exports documents into PDF files with the hyperlinks still intact. It's a great program! Between that and the "Write That Report!" guide for only $7, creating products doesn't have to be difficult OR expensive.
